Michael Lynn “Mickey” or “Mike” Gaither, 85, of Biloxi, MS passed away at his home on Friday, October 10, 2025.
Mickey was born on March 21, 1940 in Chattanooga, TN to Henry Olan Gaither and Barbara Alice Ashburn. He graduated from Hixon High School, Class of 1959. Following graduation, he attended Hiwassee College in Athens, TN from 1959 to 1960 and then joined the U.S. Air Force. He was a country music entertainer and was an opening act for several country music bands in the United States and Japan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Gaither; his parents; and his brother, Harold Gaither.
Mickey’s survivors include his siblings, Barbara Davis, Dianne (Ronnie) Hayes and Elaine (Kevin) McDavid; his daughter, Michelle Gaither; and his grandson, Kaden Ben Robinson.
Mike leaves behind his grandson Kaden, who he loved dearly. Kaden was his best friend and companion. His niece, Susie, took care of Mike for the last 2 years of his life with love and compassion.

Funeral Services will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 10:00 am. Friends may visit from 9:30 am until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
