Michael Brown Lynn, age 67, of Jackson, passed away on July 7, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Mike was born on July 12, 1957, in Waynesboro, Tennessee to the late John Andrew and Mildred Warren Lynn. He spent his childhood in Waynesboro, then graduated from Wayne County High School (TN) in 1975. After graduation, he entered the United States Army, serving 3 years in Germany and 1 year in Colorado before being honorably discharged. He later served 20 years and retired as a E6 Sergeant veteran from the Tennessee National Guard.

On February 7, 1981, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth (Beth) Nannette Curtis. In his career, Mike was a business owner, worked as a supervisor at Consolidated Aluminum, and carpenter with Architectural Millwork Solutions. He was a skilled craftsman and created many wonderful projects for family and his friends.

Mike was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, Jackson, TN, where he served in the children’s, security team, and guest services ministries. He loved his Faith Sunday School class family. He volunteered in his community when possible. Mike enjoyed camping and fishing, but most of all he enjoyed attending all his grandchildren’s activities and games. Mike loved his family beyond measure and was a devoted husband, dad, and Poppy to his crew. He created a beautiful legacy to leave the world. He was truly a gift.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Beth" Curtis Lynn; his children, Allison Lynn Reed (Jared) of Milan, TN, and Audrey Lynn Carroll (Austin) of Jackson, TN; six grandchildren, Ella Reed, Addie Ruth Reed, Tucker Jones, Claira Reed, Brooks Reed, and Grady Carroll. Mike is also survived by his sister, Sally Lynn, brother, Hershel Lynn (Elaine), and sister, Geraldine Blalock (Danny), and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Other than his beloved parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved brothers, Johnny and George Lynn.

A funeral service to honor Mike’s life will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Pastor Gary Snuffin officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025, and again on Thursday from 11:00-12:00 p.m. prior to the service.
