Michael Ray Parker Sr. of Campbellsville, the son of the late Howard William Parker and Frances Pauline Milliner Parker, was born January 13, 1953, in Murfreesboro, TN, and departed this life on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab. He was 72 years of age.
He was a veteran, having served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He was of the Catholic Faith and was a former employee of Cox Interior. He was a carpenter and loved woodworking, making cabinets. He also liked working on cars, playing with his cats, and was known to be a "jack of all trades," and was always fixing something for someone.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary Juanita Bright Parker and 7 children: Michael Ray Parker Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Mt. Washington, David Parker of Junction City, Keith Parker and his wife Brooke, Kristin Parker, Sarah Parker, Whitney Parker, and Aaron Parker, all of Campbellsville. 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and one expected great-grandchild, along with a host of nieces and nephews, and his many cats.
Also surviving are three sisters, Marilyn Pickett (Gary), Jean Marie Masden, and Sue Shofner, two brothers, Gary Parker and Tim Parker.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Parker and Robert "Bobby" Parker.
The funeral service for Michael Ray Parker, Sr., will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Bro. Steve Orr will officiate.
The family has requested visitation on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
Memorials are suggested to be donations to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, and those can be made at the funeral home.
