Michael R. Tucker was born April 16, 1951, and departed this life Friday, July 11, 2025, reaching the age of 74 years. He was the son of the Earnest Ray and Lillian (Bonnett) Tucker.
He married Shirley Kidd on May 12, 1979, and to this union three children were born.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Tucker; three children, Aaron Tucker (wife, Kyla), Elliot Tucker (wife, Donna), and Emily Stinson (husband, Matthew); and seven grandchildren, Noah and Eden Tucker, Bryan Walker, Mattilyn, Zeplyn, Sawyer, and Waylon Stinson. He is also survived by one brother, John Tucker; and one sister, Cathy Hutchinson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
Michael was a Veteran having served in the United States Army as well as the National Guard for several years. He was a lineman having worked for the Bowlin Group, and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Kidd Cemetery in the Griffin Community. Military honors provided by our local DAV Chapter 105.
