Michael Henry Tudor of Fairland, Oklahoma, son of James R. and Geraldine A. (Swedenburg) Tudor was born September 26, 1947, in Hutchinson, Kansas, and departed this life on October 17, 2025, at the age of 78 at the Sandpiper HealthCare and Rehabilitation Center, Good Shepherd Hospice of Wichita, Kansas.
Throughout his life, Michael was a resident of McPherson, Salina, Larned and Garfield, Kansas. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1965. He married Carole A. Price on June 5, 1966, at Lamed, Kansas. Michael served in the United States Army at Fort Polk, Louisiana and Fort Hood, Texas. He completed Law Enforcement Training and received his Associate Degree from Barton Community College in later years. He was employed with the State of Kansas, (Lamed State Hospital) in positions of Psych. Security Aide, Security Officer and Activity Therapist retiring in 2000 with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Garfield Evangelical Lutheran Church, Garfield, Kansas, St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fairland, Oklahoma, Garfield American Legion Post 300 and employed as the Garfield City Marshall and Pawnee County Sheriff's Deputy for a number of years. Upon retirements Michael and Carole moved to the Grand Lake area of northeastern Oklahoma (Afton and Fairland) in 2002, where he enjoyed his passionate sport of fishing. He was a member of the Grove Oklahoma Masons, Craig County Shrine Club, Vinita, Oklahoma and AKDAR Shrine Club, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Tracy Rae Tudor, sister-in-law, Kathleen C. (Price) Spillman and brother-in-law, Kenneth E. Price.
Survivors include his wife, Carole with 59 years of marriage; son, Michael K. Tudor of Fairland, Oklahoma; daughter, Deanna Deutscher and husband, Darrin of Andover, Kansas; brother, David B. Tudor and wife, Mary of Ellinwood, Kansas; grandchildren Brooke Tudor and Lane Tudor of Fairland, Oklahoma; Zoe Deutscher and Adam Deutscher, of Andover, Kansas; great grandson, Everett Ryan James Knaak of Derby, Kansas, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of life and funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned with Pastor Jarred Smith presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with family present from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Garfield Cemetery, Garfield, with military graveside rites presented by Larned VFW Post 7271 and Garfield American Legion Post 300. .
