Born in Amarillo, TX February 3, 1953, to Charles "C.G." and Sherry Jo Davies, he moved to Buffalo, MO as a young boy where he grew up helping out on his family's farm and admiring cars at a young age. Micky was an athlete growing up, playing basketball, football, and baseball. He established himself as a hard worker early on, holding jobs at Richardson's Market and the family Chevrolet dealership. A 1971 graduate of Buffalo High School, Micky went on to study Biology at Drury College where he was a catcher for their baseball team and a proud member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity, graduating 1975. On October 7, 1978, Micky was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Brenda McDaniel. They shared 46 wonderful years together and were blessed with two children, Ryan and Lacey, whom provided him with so much joy and pride. Micky's adult years were spent working as a car salesman for his dad at Davies Chevrolet, which he went on to own and run after his father's passing. When he wasn't working, he was a steady presence at his children's sporting events during their school years. Micky was a man of deep faith. Saved at an early age, he was a member of the First Christian Church, Buffalo, where he served as a Deacon for many years. Micky will forever be remembered as a hard-working car enthusiast that loved nothing more than surrounding himself with family and friends. His work ethic and dedication to family life was second to none. A tried-and-true Corvette lover, Micky also found enjoyment in the past few years restoring a 1966 Nova Supersport. He enjoyed the annual car shows on the square in Buffalo and watching the boat races at Lake of The Ozarks. The lake was his home away from home where he enjoyed endless hours of watching the boats go by and making memories with family and cherished lake friends and neighbors. Cookouts, bonfires, and challenging the grandkids to games of corn hole were some of Micky's regular lakeside enjoyments. Micky was preceded in death by his parents Charles "C.G." and Sherry Jo Davies. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; brother, Kim; a son, Ryan (Heather) Davies of Nixa; a daughter, Lacey (Shane) Hale of Henley; grandchildren, Lucy, Thomas, Andrew, and Luke Davies, and Avery and Dylan Hale; as well as beloved aunt Linda Lou. He also leaves many cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and nieces, nephews. Nothing lit Micky up more than being with family and making memories. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Show Me Romey Foundation. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025 in the First Christian Church of Buffalo. Interment will be in the Maple Lawn Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.
