Mike Barry, age 70, of Thurman, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 27th, 2025. Mike was born in Carter County, Kentucky to the late James and Lucille (Davis) Barry.
Mike was first a follower of Christ, a dedicated father and grandfather as well as a good neighbor and friend. He retired from Bob Evans Farms and spent his retirement years building houses, fixing cars, and chasing his grandchildren. Mike never knew a stranger and always had a welcoming and generous spirit to those who crossed his path. He lived a life that was full and well-lived. He was deeply loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his significant other, Carla Abshire; son, Michael (Tiffany) Barry; daughters, Jennifer (Jeremy) Conley, and Karissa (Paul) Combs; three grandchildren: Karina Barry, Asa Combs, and Boyd Combs; siblings: Pete (Denise) Barry, Mandy VanBibber, William (Margie) Barry, Timothy Barry, and Maggie Brewer; numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Homer.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Linda, James, Harmon, Tom, and Robert.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, from 12PM-3PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill with a funeral service beginning at 3PM with Rev. Cline Rawlins officiating. Burial will follow at Centerpoint
