Mildred 'Milly' Ciszewski, 94, of Bevent, died on Friday, July 11, 2025, at her home, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family and caregivers.
Milly was born on August 10, 1930, at home in Shantytown. The daughter of Joseph and Frances (Stanke) Tuskowski.
On October 1, 1949, Milly was united in marriage to Norman Ciszewski. He preceded her in death on September 20, 2021.
Milly worked on the family farm milking cows. Norman and Milly had a pickle farm. Milly was known as Mrs. C in the pickle shed. She enjoyed gardening, playing sheepshead and the occasional trip to the casino. Milly loved spending time with her family and caring for her grandchildren.
Milly is survived by her son, Duane (Shirley) Ciszewski; grandchildren, Jill (Keith) Walkowski and John (Rebekah Anger) Ciszewski; great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Bethany Walkowski; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Milly was preceded in death her parents; husband; two sons, Norman Jr. in infancy and Scott; siblings, Chester, David, Myron, Benny, Sally, Tessy and Edward.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent. Rev. Augustine Bentil will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, from 9 AM until the time of Mass at the church.
The family would like to thank all of Milly's caregivers, especially Tanya, Julie 'Juju', Mary, Terry, Deb, and Michelle for their care and visits over the years.
