The heavenly angels came and took Mildred Heaton to her heavenly home on Saturday, August 9, 2025. She was ninety-four years young, and she lived and enjoyed her long life.

She was a charter member of True Worship Assembly of God Church. While she was able to attend, going to church with her church family was her happiest days. She loved working in her yards and they were her pride and joy. Many people would stop by and talk about her flowers with her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Heaton and her son Don Heaton; her parents, Henry and Pearl Floyd; two sisters, Pauline Sapp and Hazel McArthur; four brothers, Earl, Ben, Jake, and Nick Floyd.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Curtis) Calloway; her grandson, Dr. Greg Heaton; sister in law, Joan Floyd, and three step grandsons and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM at True Worship Assembly of God Church with Pastor Adam Peterson officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 1: 00 PM until service time. Private burial will follow at Jay City Cemetery.

The family would like to express their special thanks to Emerald Coast Hospice, Jay Hospital, and Dr. Michael Smith.
