In Loving Memory of Minnie Haase
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Minnie Joan (Milani) Haase (95) of Clinton. Born May 18, 1930, to Mary Curtis Milani. She passed away at 7:10pm, July 3, 2025, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care surrounded by her family. Her life was marked by kindness, generosity, courage, strength and a sincere spirit that brightened the days of everyone she met.
She married Donald Haase on June 18th, 1949. Don and Minnie had three children, Doug, Tim, and Donna. She was married for 62 years until Don’s passing in 2011. Minnie graduated from Clinton High School in 1948 and became a homemaker and loving mother to her three children.
She leaves behind a circle of family and friends who will forever hold her memory close, daughter; Donna Lawson and her husband Kris of Clinton, son; Doug Haase and his wife Cathy of Terre Haute. Grandchildren; Kaden Lawson and his wife Raeann of Clinton, Kase Lawson and his fiancée Makenzie Foster of St. Louis, Patrick and GraceLynn Haase of Terre Haute, and Cliff Rigsby and his wife Amanda of Terre Haute. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren; Krew Lawson of Clinton and Reagan Rigsby of Terre Haute as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her only first cousin, Ken Milani, and her lifelong best friend Brenda Vicars.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Haase (2011), son Timothy W. Haase (1993), and grandson Tyler J. Haase (2010).
Minnie was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Clinton. She was loved by all who knew her and her special gifts will never be forgotten including her famous “Grandma Minnie” cookies.
Visitation will be at Giovanini Funeral Home, July 9, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00pm. A prayer service will be held on July 10, 2025 at 10:45am at Giovanini Funeral Home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, Clinton with Fr. Joby Puthussery officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Clinton.
