Montie served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He always joked when he would receive his purple heart for being injured while in active duty, but in truth he got his teeth knocked out in a bar fight in Germany.
Montie loved his family and did not miss a ball game, rodeo, or special event until the very end when he just couldn’t physically go any more. He was a hardworking man as any of his family and friends can attest, but the most special thing about Montie was his love for Jesus, he was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church for 45 years. He is with Jesus now along with his parents, sisters, and other loved ones that have gone before.
