Morris and I were pretty good "accounting buddies" at UoI. Morris knew all of the angles and was a mini-mentor to our group. Case in point: his strategy of getting his Masters in Accountancy "because I can get it in one year at UofI vs a two year MBA program." He was a guy who had it figured out. Many fond memories chats with Morris. Lost touch after UofI and just saw the note in the Alumni magazine. My condolences to his family.0
Tis a fearful thing
to love what death can touch.
A fearful thing
to love, to hope, to dream, to be -
to be,
And oh, to lose.
A thing for fools, this,
And a holy thing,
a holy thing
to love.
For your life has lived in me,
your laugh once lifted me,
your word was gift to me.
To remember this brings painful joy.
`Tis a human thing, love,
a holy thing, to love
what death has touched.

We enjoyed knowing MB as his neighbor in the mid 1990s. He was an engaging family man and full of life. Our sincere condolences to Sheryl and the girls.

I got to know MB over the internet, initially throught the market huddle. Morris had a first rate mind, and a generous nature. His passing is a great loss to me personally, as well as many others. Much love to his wife and children, Ethan Fanshel

Sad to hear of MBs passing. I am just a random podcast listener, but I feel the loss since in some way he has been like a father/friend to me the last few years. His wisdom, though coming in spurts and fits, has shone light for me on what I value in my own life. He seems to have been a very special person to those he was close to. My condolences to the girls and Sheryl.
