Funeral services for Nadine Hill, 92, of Gilmer, Texas, will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 4, 2025, in the Chapel of McWhorter Funeral Home with Brother Wayne Norvell officiating. Interment to follow at Chilton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10:00 am prior to the service.
Nadine was born on September 7, 1932, in Gilmer, Texas to Hattie Jane and Roy Dee Pilcher and passed from this life on July 1, 2025, in Longview, Texas.
Nadine married Jessie Davis in 1949, and two daughters were born to them, Jane and Carolyn. They were married for 41 years before Jessie passed away on August 9, 1990. She found love again in 1992 when she married Robert Hill, and at that time, she gained two bonus daughters, Stephine, and Sheana. Nadine and Robert shared 33 years of marriage.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Robert Hill; daughters, Jane McMillan, Carolyn Clinnard (George); bonus daughters, Stephine Adams (Bobby), and Sheana Silvertooth (Lance); grandchildren, Buster White (Tonya), Les Clinnard, Shannon Smeltzer (Brad), Josh Clinnard, and Logan Broussard; great-grandchildren, Grayson White (Destiny), Jordan Womack, Jessie Clinnard, and Hallie Clinnard; sister-in-law, Faye Pilcher; and numerous great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents; and her first husband, Jessie Davis; brother, Roy Pilcher Jr; great-grandson, Braiden Smeltzer, granddaughter-in-law, Tonya Clinnard; and son-in-law, Jerry McMillan.
Pallbearers will be Buster White, Grayson White, Les Clinnard, Josh Clinnard, Jessie Clinnard, and Jordan Womack.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Roe, Bobby Adams, Phillip Hill, Harold Wayne Hill, Logan Broussard, Brad Smeltzer, and Robert Holloway.
