Nancy Ann J. Matuczinski, 88, of Bethlehem passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025. Born on March 27, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Margaret A. (Ozimek) and Thaddeus A. Matuczinski.
Nancy retired from the Bethlehem Steel where she worked for many years as an accountant. She was a devoted member of Saints Simon and Jude Church where she was a member of their seniors group and volunteered countless hours as a Eucharistic Minister, teaching CCD and working with the school choir. For 17 years, she cooked for the nuns at St. Theresa's. Nancy worked with many politicians and was the Democratic Committee Woman from 1976-1982 and later in life proudly supported the Republican Party. Proud of her Polish heritage, she was on the Board of Directors of the Polish American Citizens Society. Above everything else, she loved and cherished her time spent with her family.
She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, Erica Saylor and Tara Saylor-Attrill and her husband, Larry Attrill; sister-in-law, Patricia Matuczinski; great-niece, Christine Leitgeb; great-nephews, James Suranofsky and Leland Atrill; and great-great- nephews, Caleb Oswald and Carter Suranofsky. Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Thaddeus J. Matuczinski and sister, Sandra M. Saylor and her husband, Richard P. Saylor, Jr.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A viewing will also be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Saints Simon and Jude's Church 730 W. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family C/O of Connell Funeral Home.
