Nancy Jean Aull was born on Dec. 31, 1933 in Astoria, New York City, the third child and only daughter of Wilson Aull and Mary Sullivan. She grew up in Queens and worked as a department store clerk and newspaper secretary and attended Columbia University. She moved to Blacksburg in the 1970s to be close to her beloved brother, Charles, and both were longtime members of St. Mary's Catholic Church. When Charles passed away, Nancy visited his grave every week and often put flowers on it. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers.
A graveside service and interment took place at Memorial Gardens of the New River Valley on North Main Street in Blacksburg, Va. on October 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. John Asare presiding. A Mass will be offered for Nancy at St. Mary's Parish, 1205 Old Mill Road, Blacksburg, at a later date.
