In Loving Memory of Nancy Buhse March 1, 1935 – July 3, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Nancy Buhse, who departed this life on July 3, 2025, at the age of 90.
Nancy was born on March 1, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York, and spent her later years in Apex, North Carolina. She was a woman of quiet strength, deep love, and enduring grace-a guiding light to all who knew her.
Nancy was the devoted mother of three children: Lisa Zilli (married to Randy), Chris Buhse (married to Arlene), and Karen Allen (married to Dermot). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Erik, Gabriel, Jake, Gavin, Colette, Mia, Deirdre, and Niall, and a cherished great-grandmother to Jude, Adelaide, and Abigail.
Family was at the center of Nancy's world. Her life was marked by kindness, resilience, and the quiet joys she found in caring for those she loved. She will be remembered not only for her deep love and unwavering support but for the legacy of warmth and compassion she leaves behind.
A Funeral Mass to honor Nancy's life will be held 11:00am Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Saint Michael's Roman Catholic Church of Cary.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made in Nancy's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to her heart.
Her spirit lives on in all of us, and she will be missed more than words can express.
