Nancy Butler Obituary

Nancy was born on January 3, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan to John and Patricia (Collins) Bellia. She grew up in the Detroit area where she graduated from Dominican High School. Nancy worked as a Real Estate Agent in the Detroit area for several years before moving to Houghton Lake from Fraser in 1992. Nancy was married to Robert Dale Butler in 1998 in Roscommon County. The couple owned and operated Americraft Construction in Houghton Lake for 30 years. Nancy spent her time designing dream homes for their customers. and she would be cooking, making picture albums of family trips, and special occasions. She enjoyed being outdoors, occasionally fishing with her husband, and especially spending time in her garden and enjoying her birds and animals visiting her woodland grove. The couple would make trips to their property in the Upper Peninsula and stop by a casino to enjoy some play time and a lunch.
Surviving Mrs. Butler are her loving husband of 26 years, Robert Dale Butler of Houghton Lake; daughter, Donna Holton of Houghton Lake; son, Mathew (Jennifer) Anderson of Ira Township; step son, Robert Logan Butler of Austin, TX; four grandchildren, Hayden Holton, Jonathon Eberhard, Ryan(Laney) Anderson, and Trevor Anderson; one great grandson, Winston. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Michael John Bellia.
A Celebration of Life Service for Nancy Rose Butler will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Nancy are asked to be directed to the charity of the donor's choice. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
