Nancy Irene Detling, 73, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on August 29, 1951 in Barnesville to the late Charles "Glenn" and Betty Irene (Bailey) Lee.
Nancy's greatest love in life was spending time with her family and grandsons. She was a 1969 graduate of Union Local High School. Nancy was retired from Wesbanco where she worked as a bank teller, she was a bookkeeper for Barnesville Auto Parts, and the Warren Township Fiscal Officer for 16 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville and was active in various community organizations. Nancy enjoyed working in her flower beds, line dancing, and traveling.
Nancy is survived by her husband, whom she married on July 14, 1973, David Detling; children, Doug Detling and Kelli (Travis) Wehr; grandsons, Ryland and Landyn Wehr; brothers, William (Nancy) Lee of Marietta, David Lee of Bethesda, and John (Jerrilyn) Lee of Jacobsburg; and sister, Beth (Mark) Welch of Mooresville, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Donna (Steve) Clark; and nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 4:00pm until the time of the Service at 7:00pm with Pastor Van Fisher and Ev. Kim McFarland officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Barnesville State Theater P.O. Box 255, Barnesville, Ohio 43713, the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville, 123 W. Church Street, Barnesville, Ohio, 43713 or OhioHealth Foundation (Attn. Riverside Methodist), 3430 OhioHealth Parkway, Fl.3, Columbus, Ohio 43202.
