Nancy Robison, 81, of Lovell, WY, passed away peacefully at the New Horizons Care Center on Sunday, June 22, 2025. She was a mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend, and coworker to many. Nancy was born Nancy Tippetts on March 23, 1944, in Lovell, WY, to Wilford E. "Buff" and Laraine E. Tippetts. She joined her parents and older brother, Wilford James, on the family farm east of Lovell. Thirteen years later, their sister, Susan, joined the family. Nancy attended Lovell Schools and graduated from Lovell High School in 1962.

After high school, Nancy attended Billings Business College. Upon completing business school, she moved to Utah to work for an insurance company. After one year, to the day, in Utah, she returned to Lovell and began working for Big Horn County School District #2 on November 1, 1964, as a secretary for the middle school and elementary school principals. She continued working for the district for 46+ years, retiring on August 31, 2011.

Nancy married Dale L. Robison on August 7, 1965, and on April 30, 1966, their only child, Minda, was born. Nancy was known for her endless energy and love for her family, her work, and the land she grew up on. From a young age, she could be found alongside her father and brother, helping on the farm-moving cows, branding, and riding horses. Her passion for ranch life stayed with her, and later in life she found great joy in training ponies to pull carts. Nancy had a contagious laugh and a sharp sense of humor, often delighting family and coworkers with well-timed jokes that often included props and costumes. Even in her final days, she was quick with a joke-frequently aimed at her daughter and thoroughly enjoyed by her granddaughters.

Nancy's work ethic was unmatched. After finishing her day with the school district, she continued to give her time and energy to the farm and various family businesses. She assisted with Cut-Rite Meat in Byron and later ran Marketplace Meats when it reopened. Whether she was feeding calves, caring for animals, managing the books for the South End Water Users, or cleaning offices at American Colloid, Nancy never backed down from hard work. Even though work kept her busy, when she found time, she enjoyed crocheting and sewing, getting lost in a good book, or binging her favorite Netflix shows into the early hours of the morning.

On March 16, 2019, Nancy's active and independent life changed dramatically when she suffered a massive stroke. While the challenges were significant, she found new ways to enjoy life and stay engaged. She spent many hours playing Bingo, reading, completing word searches, and regularly beating her family at Yahtzee. Nancy spent her remaining years at New Horizons Care Center, where she was surrounded by compassionate care and continued to bring laughter, warmth, and sass to those around her.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Minda (Reed Ohman) of Lovell; granddaughters Denelle (DJ Marchant) of Wink, TX, Ree'Dawn (Justin Harris) of Lovell, McCall (RJ Flores) of Powell, and Camille (Koty Johnson) of Lovell; and great-grandchildren Gage, Piper Reed, JJ, and Justin Wayne. She is also survived by her brother Wilford J. Tippetts (Cynthia) of Lovell, younger sister Susan (Rich Williams) of Lovell; and nephews Bradford J. Tippetts (Colleen) of Lovell, Josh W. Tippetts (Aryn) of Lovell, Kraig Williams (Tiffany) of Powell; niece-in-law Vivia Tippetts of Lovell; and many other loved ones She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale L. Robison; her parents, Wilford E. "Buff" Tippetts and Laraine E. Tippetts; sister-in-law Marilyn H. Tippetts; and nephews Jason Cole Tippetts and Blade Tippetts.

Nancy's ashes will be placed at the Lovell Cemetery at a later date.

The family extends their warmest appreciation for the care that Nancy received in her final years at the New Horizons Care Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to City of Powell/Moyer Animal Shelter or any animal shelter or Humane Society of your choice. Nancy's love for animals was well-known. Often dubbed the "animal magnet," pets would simply appear at her door, never to leave. Nancy was never without dogs, cats, and horses, and her compassion for all creatures great and small reflected her nurturing spirit.

Nancy's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. Whether it was her kindness, her determination, or the way she made everyone feel like family, she will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

I spent many days and nights with the Robison family growing up. Nancy was always so kind and generous to me, like a second mom! I will also remember her being in the elementary school office every day and always having a smile for everyone. She will be missed by many!
