Nathan Curtis Love, son of Curt Love and Jeri Smith, passed away on Sunday September 14, 2025 at his home in Louisiana, MO. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral service at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, MO. The Rev. Nathan Adams officiating. A private burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery near Louisiana, MO. A celebration of life will immediately follow interment at the American Legion at 420 Kelly Ln. in Louisiana, MO. Nathan was born on February 6, 1993 in Louisiana, MO. He was a 2011 graduate of Louisiana High School. Nathan went on to further his education at Missouri S&T with a major in civil engineering and a minor in explosives. He worked during high school and after with his Papa, Dad, and brothers Steven and Jeffrey at Love & Sons. Steven and Nathan decided to venture out on their own and started Love Bros. Contracting. Nathan was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and a member of Operating Engineers Local 513. He loved the outdoors, hunting deer, and fishing for catfish. He was married to Shelby Hunter Love on October 9, 2021 in Bowling Green, MO and she survives of Paynesville, MO. He is also survived by his parents, brothers Steven (Thressa) of Troy, MO and Jeffrey (McKenna Brandt) Love of Louisiana, MO. His favorite thing to be called was uncle Nay Nay by Cooper & Lacey Love. Other survivors include aunt Vicki (Ray) Everding, uncle Bryce (Doris Jo) Love, aunt Barbara (Jim) Dulle, uncle Ronnie Suddarth, and a host of cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Gerald & Betty Smith, Ray & Sharon Love, aunts & uncles Valirea & Carey Shriver, Debra Clark, and Judy Suddarth, and a cousin Jon Bergman. Honorary pallbearers will be Buzz Mendonsa, Ron Ron Ivey, John Richards, Alex Kinsey, Jordan Miller, Kasey Roberts, Kyle Schmitt, Kenny Hanes, Reid LaFave, Michael Everding, Matthew Everding, Daniel Everding, John Shriver, and Chase Thurman. Active pallbearers will be Steven Love, Jeffrey Love, Derek Suddarth, Conner Ahlers, Kevin Sutton, and Saxton Cole. Memorials may be made to the Nathan Love Memorial Scholarship Fund.
