Julie Anne “Julieanne” Roddenberry, 77, passed away on August 29, 2025, in Stuart, Florida.
Miss Roddenberry was born on July 3, 1948, in Melbourne, Florida. She graduated from Dan McCarty High School and Indian River State College and worked for many years at the Clerk of the Court in Martin County, Florida.
Julieanne was a faithful member of Parkview Baptist Church in Fort Pierce. She supported numerous faith-based organizations as well as local animal welfare groups. Known for her kind spirit and deep compassion, she often signed her letters and cards “Julieanne and her critters,” reflecting her love for the many dogs, cats, and wildlife that found a home with her. She especially enjoyed traveling and taking cruises with her sisters and cherished the holiday season, particularly Christmas. Most of all, Julieanne loved Jesus, and her abiding faith was evident in the prayers she faithfully lifted for her family, friends, and neighbors.
Survivors include her sister, Kerry Ely of Indianapolis, Indiana; niece, Katie Ely and nephew, Robbie Ely.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kathleen Roddenberry; her mother, Gladys Mae Roddenberry; and her father, Walter Blair Roddenberry.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10:00–11:00 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A private burial will take place at Riverview Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Dogs and Cats Forever, Inc.
