In Loving Memory of Nolan Chaisson

Those who knew Nolan will remember him for so many wonderful things. He was an amazing father, brother, son, uncle, friend— and an all-around incredible person. Nolan had a heart of gold, as so many would say. His children held his entire heart in their hands. He was so proud to be their dad and would brag about them any chance he got.

A devoted LSU and Saints fan, you could always count on Nolan to be decked out in his best fan gear, passionately yelling at the screen during the game. Watching a game with him was truly an experience— you hadn't really seen one until you saw it with Nolan. He shared that same love for the game with his kids, constantly practicing with them, coaching, and cheering them on.

Nolan was a hard worker who strived for excellence in everything he did. But he didn't just chase his own success—he inspired others and lifted them up, always encouraging those around him to reach their goals too.

Though a man of few words, Nolan was the life of every party. He was funny, charming, and so easy to love. He took pride in everything he did—from cutting the grass just right to slow cooking his "famous" pork roast. No matter the occasion—whether at work or singing karaoke in the living room—he was always well-dressed and put together.

Nolan will be forever missed and loved by his three children: Karlee, Keaton, and Kane; his parents, Ray and Sandy Chaisson Sr.; his sister Rachelle Gonzales and her children; his brother Ray Chaisson Jr., wife Shelby, and their kids; his Godchildren Noelle Brown, Naomi Gonzales, and Brody Gonzales; his Godparents Jackie Wise and Julius Chaisson; and his brother Jarvis Davis, along with countless extended family members and friends. A man this loved could never be honored in just one list—he touched far too many lives to name them all.

He is now reunited in Heaven with his oldest son Braden; his brother Christopher Brigalia; his grandmothers Betty Talley and Patricia Chaisson; his grandfather Nolan Chaisson Sr.; his aunt Naomi Ard; his parrain Steve Wise; and many other dearly missed loved ones.

A peaceful mass will be held at St. Andrew church in Amelia on Saturday, July 19 at 1 1 am.
