Nolan Keith Farrow was born January 15, 1966, in Fort Worth, TX, to the parents of Roy and Joyce Farrow. He has only one sister, Sharon Farrow. Nolan grew up in the Historic Mosier Valley Community of Tarrant County, presently at the crossroads of the City of Fort Worth and Euless, TX.
Nolan is a descendant of Pioneer settlers of Mosier Valley that includes the Blackburns, Farrows, Johnsons, Sheltons, and Stantons.
Nolan attended public schools in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District. The schools included Wilshire Elementary, Central Junior High and Trinity High School. He played sports and his love of football motivated him to play football defense from Little League, Junior High through High School.
In Nolan’s early years, his parents encouraged their son to participate in other activities in his youth. Mrs. Farrow chose piano lessons while Mr. Farrow approved him to become a Boy Scout.
The Historic St. John Missionary Baptist Church was his foundation for Christian Bible Basics in addition to socializing in the community with other children and adults. He later became a member of Valley Baptist Church in the Historic Garden of Eden community. Nolan’s father died when he was fourteen years old. This left Nolan’s mother to work and provide for the family. She later died of diabetes complications when Nolan was twenty-three years old.
After high school in 1984, and throughout his life, he loved machines, cars, trucks, heavy equipment such as draglines, cranes, etc.
Nolan’s first experience with speed was when his father bought him his first motorcycle. He was so proud of the motorbike because his parents had worked extra hard saving money for the special gift for their only son.
As a young man, he grew even more attracted to speed and upgraded to motorcycles, pick-up trucks, dirt bikes, motorcross racing, NASCAR, Formula One, and his all-time favorite, drag racing. Nolan’s passion for driving and riding motorbikes, pushed him to become a professional truck driver. His career lasted over 25 years until he was forced into early retirement due to health issues. Nolan began driving tractors and family vehicles around the age of nine or ten. At times, he drove his father to his doctor’s appointments because his mother worked at a hospital and had odd shifts/work hours. The health issues followed his mother, sister, and the entire family of four.
Mrs. Bethel Stanton (Ma Ma) was Nolan’s cornerstone, and he looked to her for wisdom and strength. He heeded her guidance to always follow the holy scriptures, Proverbs 3:5-6.
Nolan is survived by his sister, Sharon, four nieces, Risha, Ambyr, Nicole (C J) and Alexandria. He is the proud great uncle of Jeremiah and Cooper. Nolan is also the godfather of Robert L. Mitchell, IV., and Lauren Mitchell, one uncle left of the Stanton Family, Robert G. Stanton (Uncle Bob) and his beloved Trina Sanders. Greatly beloved, Nolan is also survived by a large host of relatives and friends.
