Nora Harris Obituary

Nora C. Harris, 94, of Anderson, went to her heavenly home early Wednesday morning, January 15, 2025, at Northview Health & Living Center following a brief illness. She was born on August 8, 1930, in Markelville, Indiana where she resided most of her life. Nora graduated from Markleville High School in 1948 and later married the love of her life, Harold J. Harris in Anderson and he preceded her in death in 1983. Nora Harris became a Cafeteria Worker for Anderson Community Schools and retired from there after 41 years of service. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and also was a member of Markleville East Christian Church, the (MMWC) Meadowbrook Manor Women's Club. She enjoyed bowling at one time and to say she liked all things angel-related is an understatement!
Survivors include her children, son, Edward (Sue) Harris of Anderson, IN, daughters, Annette Harris of Austin, KY, and Karla (Gary) Mills of Anderson, IN, grandchildren, Kyle (Rachel) Mills of Anderson, IN, Mandy (Brian) Fuller of Anderson, Andrew Harris, Anderson, Tyler Harris, Seth (Zina) Harris, Ryan Harris, Gary Harris and Casey (Robbie) Beam, great-grandchildren, Lydia, Abram, Keith, Emmalyn, Ezra, Ashton, Ziya, Seek, Sage, Nina, Miles, Lilly; 3 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Russel Keesling, and Ruth Keesling Dane, brothers Fred Keesling, and Joe Keesling, sisters Helen Craig, and Mable Reedy.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 202,5 at Loose Funeral Home at 11:30 A.M. with Minister Phillip Hodson officiating.
Friends may call at Loose Funeral Home on Friday evening, January 17, 202,5 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and again on Saturday Morning January 18, 2025, from 10:30 until the time of the service. Burial will follow at the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
