Norma Jean (McCarty) Clark, age 76, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, in Center, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, beginning at 1PM at Clever Creek Baptist Church, Center, Texas. Funeral Service will follow at 2PM with Dr. Jerry Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at Clever Creek Cemetery.

Born on October 15, 1948, in Harris County, Texas, Norma grew up with a deep-rooted sense of compassion and faith that would guide her throughout her life. On June 22, 1967, she married the love of her life, Ronald Jay Clark. Their union was one of enduring love, and they shared many cherished years together before his passing. Norma dedicated herself to her husband, children, and grandchildren throughout her life. Her warm demeanor and kind spirit left a lasting impression on those she encountered through her work.

A devoted member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Norma found great joy in serving the Lord and her community. Her commitment to her faith was evident in all aspects of her life. Even as her health declined and she could no longer serve actively, her devotion remained unwavering.

Norma had a generous heart and a nurturing soul. She found happiness in helping others and was known for her kindness and compassion. She loved gardening and took pride in cultivating beauty around her home. Above all else, she treasured time spent with family-moments filled with laughter, love, and connection.

Her memory will be held dear by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters,

Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Jay Clark; son, Ronald Brent Clark; parents, John and Dorothy McCarty; brother, Johnny Wayne McCarty; sister, Mary Louise Bailes; and great grandson, Samuel Olson.
