Norma Faye Hickman, 86, passed away on July 23, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on December 19, 1938, Norma embodied a quiet strength and a nurturing spirit throughout her life.

Norma was known for keeping to herself, maintaining a small circle of close family and friends. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, including sewing, reading, and camping in her travel trailer at the lake. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel the world with her beloved husband Lloyd and their son Ed, even spending seven years living in Scotland, an experience that enriched her life and broadened her horizons.

Norma was the loving wife of Lloyd Hickman, with whom she shared a remarkable 62 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with cherished memories and unwavering companionship. She is survived by her children: Zeb Hickman and his wife Judy, Ed Hickman, Andy Hickman and his wife Rachel, and Zelda Hickman. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Ben Hickman, Alvin Hickman, Sarah Youngblood, and Amanda Croley, as well as six great-grandchildren who were a source of immense pride and joy for her. Norma is also remembered by her sister, Linda Jan Pack, and her husband Dean.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Speed and Dottie Jones, and her brothers, Walter Odos "Buster" Hughes, Bud Speed, and George Mitchell Hughes.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Guedry Cemetery, Batson, Texas
