Norma Jean Kimball, 78, of Danville, Vermont, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Richford, Vermont, on July 19, 1946, Norma was the daughter of Paul and Lucille (Pinsonneault) Rock. She spent her early years in Richford before marrying Clifton Charles Wright in 1963. In the mid-1970s, Norma relocated to Danville, where she built a life filled with family and friends. On May 25, 1979, she married Edward Roland Kimball, with whom she shared many cherished years.
Norma dedicated more than 35 years of her career to Dietary Services at Johnsbury Health & Rehabilitation, where she was a valued and respected member of the team. She retired from her work to lovingly care for Edward when his health declined, demonstrating her deep commitment and devotion to her husband and family.
In her leisure time, Norma found joy in a variety of hobbies. She was an avid cook, enjoyed scenic drives on back roads, and took immense pride in growing and tending to her vibrant flower gardens. Her creative spirit shone through her crocheting and knitting, and she found relaxation in solving puzzles of all kinds, including word puzzles, Sudoku, and coloring.
Norma was predeceased by her parents, Paul Rock and Kermit and Lucille Howland; her beloved husband, Edward Roland Kimball; her brother, Wendell Rock; and her sister, Yvette Walker.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael Wright and his wife Amie of Cabot, VT, and Christopher Wright and his wife Heather of Augusta, ME; and two daughters, Cherylee Chamul and her husband Edwin of East Concord, VT, and Carrie Ann Nunn and her husband Aundre of North Concord, VT. She also leaves behind two stepsons, Gary Kimball of Concord, VT, and Stuart Kimball and his wife Pamela of South Peacham, VT; and three stepdaughters, Deborah Kimball of GA, Laurie Kimball of Barnet, VT, and Valerie Friend and her husband Randy of Danville, VT. Norma will be dearly missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of friends.
A graveside service to celebrate Norma's life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Danville Green Cemetery, Danville, VT.
Her family would like to express the excellent care and love given to Norma & family by everyone at Caledonia Home Health Care & Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Caledonia Home Health Care & Hospice 161 Sherman Dr, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819.
