Norma Holman Moon, age 89, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2025 at her home after a short illness. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Moon was born June 9, 1936, in Robertson County to the late W.L. Holman and the late Velma Krisle Holman. She had an adventurous life living in or traveling to every state in the U.S. while she and her husband, Sory, worked for various pipeline companies. Mrs. Moon also worked for Bell South and GMAC in her years just after business school. She loved crosswords, playing bridge, and her pets and family. Mrs. Moon was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and Eastern Star. She was a genuinely kind and selfless person loved by many, and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moon was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William Sory Moon; brothers, Billy Gene (Jeanette) Holman and Robert D. Holman (Buddy); and a sister, Linda (Jerry) Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Terri Watts; granddaughter, Jada Watts Dixon; great granddaughter, Stella Dixon; sisters-in-law, Gail McClanahan Holman, Lucy (Theron) Hicks, and Judy Henderson; many cherished nieces and nephews; and her cat, Keke.
