Orville David Mitcheltree, age 76, of Gresham, Wisconsin passed away on Monday June 30, 2025, at his home. He was born on May 11, 1949, in Manitowoc, to Clayton and Pearl (Ligman) Mitcheltree. He was one of five children.
Orville attended Manitowoc and Valders schools. He trained to become a certified welder and after many years working for various manufacturers, he retired from Burger Boat in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, due to health reasons.
Outside of work, Orville enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching the Packers play, and spending time with his family and his friends, and his dogs, Mulan and Finn. He was also a member of the Windjammers Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patricia, where they spent all their years at Captain Cove enjoying time with friends; his children, Jeff Mitchel and Travis Mitcheltree; his stepchildren, Lisa Frisch, Jeremy Frisch, Patti Anhalt, Todd Gilbert, Keith Gilbert and Troy Barbeau; grandchildren, Keelin Ward, Rieken Ward, Chaz Frisch, Kaden Micheltree, Isaiah Micheltree and Landon Micheltree.
Orville is also survived by his three sisters, Sharon Handl, Mary Mitcheltree and Sue Hagenow; his brother-in-law, Aaron Johnston; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Mitchel; his parents, Clayton and Pearl Mitcheltree; his sister, Cindy Johnston; two brothers-in-law, Gerald Handl and Dean Hagenow; and nephews, Dean Hagenow, Jr.
Per Orville's wishes, no service will be held. The family is being assisted with arrangements by Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano.
