January 27, 1952 – July 16, 2025
Pamela Helen Allen, 73, passed away on July 16, 2025 at Liberty Place Memory Care in West Chester, OH. Her husband of 46 years, Richard Allen cared for her every day for 11 years as she battled with Alzheimer’s disease.
Pam is also survived by her son Rich Jr. (Debbie) Allen, daughter Cherri (Houston) Lay, and daughter Jonna (Jason) Westover, her grandchildren Savannah, Kyle, Andrew, Emily, Jada, Jacob, Ethan, her 2 great grandchildren, and her brothers Donald Wiesmann and Glenn Wiesmann. Pam was a very loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was beautiful, classy, kind and always wanted to help everyone she knew.
Pam was born to Jacob and Eleanor Wiesmann and grew up the youngest of 9 kids on a small dairy farm in southeastern Indiana with her 6 older brothers and 2 sisters. They milked cows, raised hogs, grew tobacco and had 2 work horses named Dolly and Babe, whom she dearly loved and would often talk about as her dementia worsened. Pam married her sweetheart, Rich, and together they loved to travel, attend music concerts, and experience fine dining. She was an avid reader and happiest when socializing with their friends. Pam loved to cook gourmet meals and baked the loveliest desserts, winning several baking contests. Pam was marvelous at entertaining guests and hosted many executive dinners in their home for Rich’s business clients as well as several non-profit organizations such as CAPSA, Rotary Club, Common Ground, Cache Humane Society, and Eccles Art Foundation.
Pam was hired as a bank teller in Lawrenceburg, Indiana when she was in her early 20’s. Over the years her hard work, exceptional aptitude for numbers, and her natural management skills led to her becoming the first woman Director of Lenox Savings and Loan in Cincinnati. Years later Pam was the Executive Director of CAPSA, a domestic violence, sexual abuse, and rape recovery center serving Cache County and the Bear Lake area in northern Utah.
Pam will always be remembered as an incredibly caring and compassionate person who deeply loved her family and friends. Pam loved her life and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life and lunch will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, 11:00 AM at Triple Crown Country Club, 1 Triple Crown Blvd, Union, KY 41091. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rotary Club of Logan, UT or Alzheimer’s Association.
