Pamela Wynne Cornwell Bibbins, age 69 of Talbott, TN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 11, 2025 after a short illness. She retired after 40 years as an RN at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She attended Youngs Memorial AME Church in New Market, TN. Pam’s hobbies were spoiling grandkids, going to Walmart, and being at Krispy Kreme when the red light was on. Her favorite quote was, “We’re making memories!”
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Johnnie and Ross Cornwell, special aunt, Bonnie Young, and sister, Marsha Jean Cornwell. She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Richard Bibbins of Talbott, TN, son, Brad (Penny) Cornwell of Dandridge, TN, daughter, Amy Hollinger of North Carolina, granddaughters, Hannah and Haleigh Cornwell of Talbott, TN, grandson, Cameron Cornwell of Maryville, TN, great-grandkids, Zayvion and Riyah Weaver of Talbott, TN, sisters, Donna Word of Knoxville, TN, Terri (Jimmie) Glasscock of Morristown, TN, and Bonnie (Doug) Henderson of Gatlinburg, TN, and several special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Tennova Healthcare Center Turkey Creek in Knoxville, TN.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Farrar Funeral Home with the service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Shipley officiating. A private inurnment service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ALPS, www.alpsadultdayservices.org/, or St. Judes, www.stjude.org/ .
