Pat Burke, born February 26, 1959, in Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home in Castalian Springs, Tennessee, on February 11, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving family, reflecting the warmth and connection he fostered throughout his life.
A 1977 graduate of Hendersonville High School, Pat pursued further education at Nashville Tech, where he graduated with a certificate in media and cinematography. His diverse talents and interests made him a jack of all trades and a master of a few. Pat's career was characterized by his ability to engage in various fields, demonstrating a versatility that endeared him to many.
Pat’s personality was one of his most remarkable traits. He was known as a loving individual with an innate ability to make friends with anyone. His huge heart and willingness to extend a helping hand to those in need truly set him apart. Pat was someone who never met a stranger and always kept an open door for those looking for companionship or support.
In his leisure, Pat found joy in hunting and fishing, embracing nature's tranquility. His love for music was profound, and he could often be found enjoying a good drink or a glass of Dewar's scotch, sharing laughs and stories with friends and family.
Pat stayed with and took care of both his parents later in life and continued taking care of his mother after his father passed. In December of 2022, Pat in an effort to make Christmas as normal as possible for his mother was decorating for Christmas at her home when he fell, suffering a traumatic brain injury which ultimately led to his passing.
He leaves behind a devoted family that includes his wife, Robin Burke; children, Greg Forbes and Terry E. White, Jr. (Jessica); and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who were the light of his life. His brother, Jody Burke (Lisa), also survives him. Pat's loving spirit and caring presence will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends he cherished.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Barbara Burke, and his grandparents, Shepherd and Mattie Allen. Their legacy carried on through Pat, whose life touched so many.
Visitation will be held on February 14, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside, located at 104 Sanders Ferry Rd, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
