Patricia "Trish" Brown, 71, passed away on June 21, 2025. She was born on April 16, 1954, in Lawrenceburg to the late Joe Lee Buie and Mable Stutts Buie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Grady Roy Brown and Gary Peters.
Trish retired from GE after many years of dedicated work, but she never truly slowed down. A lifelong lover of music and the dance floor, she was the life of the party-charismatic, full of energy, always ready with a quick wit and a better story. She had a gift for turning the ordinary into something memorable and magical.
A proud junker and thrifter, Trish could spot a treasure where no one else would look. She loved Coca-Cola, cooking big meals for those she cared about, reading (especially anything by John Grisham), fishing, dressing up, and piling on jewelry with flair. Flowers made her happy. Good food made her happier. Her family made her happiest.
Trish loved fiercely and gave freely. She was kind, strong in spirit, and always the one you'd want in your corner. She built a life centered around the people she loved. Family was her whole world, and her love for them was deep, unconditional, and ever-present.
Though she had the joy of being loved by many, it was Grady who was the true love of her life. Their bond was one of laughter, passion, and enduring affection.
Trish hated pain, but she faced life's challenges with grace and grit. Her strength was quiet but powerful.
She will be remembered through those she leaves behind, her sons, Rodney (Sandra Smith) Grimes and Aaron "Brent" (Mary) Grimes; granddaughters, Cortni, Kaylee, and McKenzie; six great-grandchildren, seventeen nieces and nephews, 24 great-nieces and nephews; aunt, Millanie Carroll; and her siblings, Jerry (Debbie) Buie, Randy (Brenda) Buie, Brenda Shaffer, Jeff (Sherry) Buie, Terry Buie, Gayla (Cliff) Adams, and Adrian Buie.
Visitation with Trish's family will be on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home. Funeral services to honor Trish's life will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Whitehead-Topsy Cemetery.
