Patricia Thompson Johnson, "Nana" a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and esteemed public servant, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, at the age of 88 in Flora, Mississippi. Born June 22, 1937, in Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi, Patricia's life was marked by her dedication to her family, her faith, and her community.

A proud graduate of Clem High School and Mississippi College, Patricia's zest for knowledge and community involvement set the stage for what would become a remarkable career in public service. She was a respected figure in the Mississippi State Legislature, where she held various impactful roles, culminating in her position as the administrative assistant to the Speaker of the House. As a choir member and a pianist, she brought joy and inspiration to many through her music. Her love for hymns and praise songs echoed the depth of her belief and her desire to serve the Lord.

An ardent supporter of the University of Southern Mississippi, Patricia was known for her enthusiasm as an avid USM fan. Her spirit and loyalty to the team were evident, both in victory and in defeat, exemplifying the true heart of a fan.

Patricia's legacy is lovingly carried on by her family, who were the light of her life. She is survived by her sons, Lon Johnson of Flora, Stan Johnson and his wife Robbyn of Madison, and David Johnson of Pearl; her grandchildren, Shellee Gamberi, (Jamey) Davis Johnson ( Natalie), Heath Johnson, and Hanna Woods (Shawn) and her great-grandchildren, Tate Johnson and Wells Gamberi.
