Patricia Marie Peck Fleury Obituary

Patricia Marie Peck-Fleury, of Rapid City, SD, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025. Born on September 5, 1958, at Santa Monica, California to Walter and Sophie Peck. Walter Peck was a WWII veteran and a citizen of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, and his wife Sophie Peck was a citizen of the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe, Fort Thompson, SD. Patricia "Patti" was an enrolled member of the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe, Fort Thompson, SD.
Patti was known for her passion for cooking, beadwork, visiting with friends and relatives and traveling. Patti will be remembered for her generosity, compassion, and making frybread and other food for people when they needed it for special dinners.
Patti is survived by her significant other, Wayne F. Wilcox, Sr., they met in 1982 at USD in Vermillion, SD and remained together until her passing. She is also survived by her sons, Robert Fleury (Sioux Falls, SD), Wayne Joshua Wilcox, Jr. (Rapid City, SD) and Nico Hinojosa, Sr. (Rapid City, SD); her grandchildren, Liam Wilcox, Sophia Wilcox, Pernella Bear Stops, Bryson Bear Stops, Nico Hinojosa, Jr., Akira Hinojosa, Haven Hinojosa, and Jeremiah Wilcox; her in-laws, Theresa Wilcox and son Michael, Caroline Bettelyoun and family, Dr. Darlene Wilcox and family, Byron Wilcox and family, Myron Boyd Richards and family, and Kevin Richards, and family; as well as countless friends and relatives too numerous to mention.
Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Sophie Peck; brothers, Bob and Bill Peck; In-laws, William "Bill" Wilcox, WWII veteran, and wives, Laura Wilcox and Lucille Red Willow-Wilcox; sisters-in-law, Barbara Wilcox-Ironroad and Anita Faye Wilcox; Brothers-in-law, Joseph Ironroad and Jed Bettelyoun; and cousin, Orla Jo Wounded Knee.
A Prayer Service will be on Saturday, October 25, 2025, 11am at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Haines & Monroe, Rapid City, SD 57709. A luncheon/potluck will be held after prayer service at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church. All are welcome to attend.
Inurnment for Patricia's urn will be held later at Fort Thompson, SD where Patricia's parents and brothers have their final resting place.
We are grateful for the time we had together and will carry Patricia's memory in our hearts forever. May Patricia "Patti" rest in peace.
