Patricia Andrea "Pat" Weatherill, a woman of unwavering faith, infectious joy, and boundless love, passed away peacefully at her home in Loveland, Colorado, on February 23, 2025. She was 95.
Born on August 23, 1929, in Otis, Colorado, to Andrew and Mary Frances Rask, Pat's life was one of rich experiences and deep connections. She met her future husband, Joe E. Weatherill, at Sterling High School after her family moved to Sterling, Colorado. Pat was an excellent student, played saxophone in the school band, served as a drum majorette, and sang in the school chorus. She graduated and attended Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, where she was a spirited cheerleader and earned an Associate's Degree. Falling deeply in love with Joe, they eloped and were married on January 12, 1952.
Together, Pat and Joe raised four children: Jack, Sandy, Tom, and Susie. They moved to Loveland, Colorado, in January 1961, establishing a loving home. Pat's dream before she became a devoted Mother was to be a concert pianist. She played the piano and organ until her early 90s and was a church organist at Good Shepherd Church and Faith Evangelical Church, and also played the organ at the Methodist church in Loveland and Sterling and the Elks. She also was choir director for the Young Shepherds and the Little Lambs at Good Shepherd.
Pat's greatest love was her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, evident in her active involvement in church as an organist and choir director. She also served as President of the Women's Auxiliary for the Colorado Gideons, supporting Joe's dedicated service.
Pat was a woman of many talents and passions. She had a great sense of humor, an infectious giggle, and was a gifted public speaker. She was incredibly social and loved to connect with people. She smiled with her eyes, always present and in the moment. She enjoyed traveling, especially cruises, and loved to play golf and bridge.
Joe preceded her in death on November 24, 1999. Pat found love again and married Warren Appel on July 29, 2003, who passed away on July 15, 2020. Pat was also predeceased by her parents, her brothers Russell and Herman, her sister Anita, and her grandson Nick.
She is survived by her loving children: Jack and significant other Tami Serbousek, Sandy and Greg Schmid, Tom and Carmella Weatherill, and Susie and Jim Eaton, 7 cherished grandchildren, and 13 adored great-grandchildren.
Pat will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her musical gifts, her warm and welcoming spirit, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
Memorial Services will be held at Faith Evangelical Church on Wednesday, March 19th at 11:00am. A reception will follow the service.

Pat was a lovely, Christian woman. It was always a joy to hear her play the piano and organ, and teaching the little ones to sing.

I used to work at the west Safeway and Pat was my favorite customer. She was sweet and witty and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with her.

My dear Miss Pat. You raised two fine sons. I wish I would have met your daughters but I didn't have that honor. I've had the privilege of knowing your son's back in the day and I know how proud you are of them. My condolences to your family. God speed. Karen (Apple) Cabrera
