Patricia Ann Wunder
Passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, at the age of 89, at the Versailles Rehabilitation and Health Center. She was born on June 23, 1935, in Plainfield, Indiana, to her parents Adelbert and Olga (Mervar) Culp.
Pat graduated from Speedway High School. She worked in the kitchen at Chapelwood Elementary School and later went to work as a secretary at Dettmer Hospital, Troy. Throughout her life, she was deeply connected to her faith as a devout member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pat's marriage to Ben C. Wunder was a testament to enduring love, having exchanged vows on February 20, 1954, in Indiana. Their partnership was one of mutual respect, shared laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they brought into the world two children, a son, Randal, along with his wife Deeanne of Beavercreek, Oregon, and a daughter, Jenny Lee of Washington, D.C. She is also survived by her three sisters Audry, Eletta, and Marsha,
Pat's adventurous spirit led her to explore the world, creating cherished memories in China, Greece, Slovenia, Germany, and Ireland. She had a particular fondness for the art of cooking, the thrill of travel, and the warm company of friends and family.
Known for her creative hobbies, Pat collected Santa Clauses and antiques with a discerning eye and heartfelt appreciation. Those who visited her home were always greeted by these treasures that each held a story and a special place in her heart.
Pat's passion for life didn't stop at inanimate collectibles; she had an immense love for animals, especially her adored dog, Oliver. Her kind-hearted nature ensured that every pet she encountered received the same love and care she extended to people.
Pat leaves behind a countenance of love in the hearts of those she touched. Pat's memory will be cherished, her stories retold with smiles, and her presence sorely missed. She was truly a light in the lives of many, and her spirit will continue to shine brightly.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 10, at Riverside Cemetery,168 3rd Street, Howe, Indiana 46746. Memories may be shared with the family online at www.jackson-sarver.com
