Patrick Delaney Cook, III was born on January 16, 1943 in Anderson County, Texas to parents Patrick Delaney Cook, Jr. and Hexie Berniece Little Cook. He married Barbara Lynne Minchew on December 24, 1965 in Jacksonville, Texas.Pat was a child of God and was a deacon at Church on the Rock, Rusk, Texas. He loved to sing the old hymns and his favorite was The Old Rugged Cross. He was a Viet Nam Veteran serving in the U. S. Army. Pat was a Boy Scout leader while his son was earning his Eagle Scout. Pat liked helping people. He loved riding his motorcycle with the East Texas Patriot Guard Riders escorting fallen soldiers and standing line for fallen soldiers services. He always felt the Guard Riders were the last line of dignity and respect for the fallen soldiers.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara, son Josh and Josh's wife Kayla. Pat was preceeded in death by his daughter, Connie June Cook, his parents, two brothers Robert Cook and Barry Snider. Pat is also survived by sisters, Mary Thomason, Carey Shavers and husband, Mark; Evonne Boggs and husband, Paul; and Sue Markham and brothers Ted Snider, Ronnie Cook and Tommy Cook and wife Connie, special nephew Gary Trible, wife Sharon and children Shian and Schaene Trible and many nieces. nephews and cousins.
