Patrick Joseph Hanely, age 71, of Ecorse, Michigan, passed away on June 25, 2025, at home surrounded by family. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, January 3, 1954, to Frank Patrick Hanley and Margaret Helen Martin.
Patrick is survived by his loving siblings, Robert Lee Hanley, Kenneth Hanley (Cathy), Beverly Bennett (Eddie), and Richard Allen Hanley (Karyn).
Patrick loved spending time with his family, especially playing pinochle with them. Also, he enjoyed playing Euchre with his friends. He was an avid lottery player and liked playing the 3-4 digit daily. He enjoyed spending time with his nephew, Tony, who mowed his lawn; and all his nephews and nieces.
In recent times, Patrick expressed how deeply he missed his love and soulmate Doretta, who preceded him death. He looks forward to seeing her soon!
Patrick will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
There will be a visitation on Monday, June 30th from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Kernan Funeral Service, 1020 Fort Street, Lincoln Park, Michigan, and a funeral service at 6:00 pm. On Tuesday, July 1st, Patrick's burial will take place at the Parkview Memorial Cemetery, 34205 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan at 10:00 am. The family has asked for those attending to please meet inside the gates of the cemetery.
