Patsy Rivera

Patsy Rivera, 78, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, passed away on October 25, 2025. She was born on November 16, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Lila Shofner and Lyle Hampton.
Patsy attended Eastern Junior High and worked as a nurse aide at Brownsboro Hills Nursing Home and as a monitor tech at a Jewish Hospital, serving others for more than 20 years. She was a member of her Gospel Church choir and loved singing with her church family.
She was married to her beloved husband, Albert Rivera, for 31 years. Patsy was preceded in death by Albert; her brothers Oxford Lee, Curtis, William, and Lyle Hampton; and her sisters Mary Rose, Shirley, Norma, Margie, Nancy, and Beachy.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Rivera of Rio Rancho, NM; her brother, David Hampton, and sister, Charlette Parker, both of Louisville, KY; her grandchildren Christy, Mariah, and Stephen Rivera; her great-grandchildren Chloe and Noah; and her cherished pets Chiquita, Heito, Mochi, and Otis.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park

Patsy will be remembered for her kindness, faith, and love for her family.
