Born February 10, 1953 in Chicago to the late Raymond and Dorothy Sykes, Kathleen passed away August 7, 2025.
Kathleen was the wife of the late James "Jim" Poss, her partner of 47 years. They loved one another in their own way for all the years they were given. When Jim passed in 2021, Kathleen carried a deep absence that never left her. Those who loved her take comfort in knowing they are together again.
She leaves behind two daughters, Jaime (Kevin Clarke) and Melissa (Ralph) Siemion; and three grandchildren, Ryan Siemion, Jake Siemion, and Leena Clarke. Kathleen adored her grandchildren, who were the brightest light in her later years.
Kathleen was not an easy person to fully know. She built walls around her heart, but behind them, she loved fiercely. She mattered deeply to the people who truly knew her. And for those she loved, her absence will be felt in ways words can't quite hold.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 16 from 10:00am – 1:00pm at Michaels Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Interment to follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
