Paul A. Busch, 75, of Millington, NJ, passed away at his home on June 23, 2025. Born in Newark, NJ, Paul was the son of the late Katherine (Kozub) and Albert Busch. He grew up in Irvington, NJ, before relocating to Millington 36 years ago.
Paul had a distinguished career as a Physicist, working for Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ, and later at Lucent Technologies. After retiring from the tech world, Paul transitioned into education, dedicating many years as a substitute teacher at Watchung Regional High School in Warren, NJ, where he was beloved by students and faculty alike.
An avid fan of the New York Yankees, Paul spent many summer days at the Jersey Shore, particularly at Lavalette Beach, where he enjoyed relaxing and saltwater fishing. He was also a passionate supporter of Rutgers University Football, holding season tickets and faithfully cheering on his team. Paul had a deep interest in the weather and often shared updates with friends and family. Known for his simple, kind-hearted nature, he cherished the time spent with loved ones and was a regular at Lifetime Fitness, where he built lasting friendships.
Predeceased by his parents and his sister, Maryellen Busch, Paul is survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends who will miss his warmth, humor, and unwavering support.
