Paul was a co-captain of the Notre Dame basketball team. I played more games with him than any other teammate, going all the way back to the St. Matthew´s Chargers in 5th grade under the late great Paul Cameron. Paul´s dad coached the 6th grade team and was a true gentleman who looked out for all of his players. Mr. Crowe also left us much too soon.

Paul was a good player. He had a nice shot from the side of the basket and was often matched up against taller players for our smallish team. But aside from being a respected teammate, he was a friend. I spent a lot of time at Paul´s house during our pre-teen and teenage years. I never heard of Rush or Led Zeppelin before he played their records.
Paul´s mom was a great mother. Very caring, calm and smart.

Paul was a very intelligent person who went on to win our school´s scholar-athlete award as well as the coach´s award in basketball under the legendary Bob Mullen. He will be missed by his classmates and teammates.
