Paul Franklin Fisher, Jr., (age 80), formerly of Sunfield and Lake Odessa, passed away peacefully at the Quiet Creek AFC in Falmouth, Michigan on May 11, 2025. He was born in Flint, Michigan on November 26, 1944, the son of Paul Sr. and Frieda (Loose) Fisher. He graduated from Sunfield High School in 1962. Paul began employment with the Fisher Body Division of General Motors in 1964, becoming a Journeyman Electrician and retiring in 1999 with 35 years of service to GM. Paul was also a veteran of the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany. Paul was a member of the Luther United Methodist Church where he served as a trustee devoting much of his time and talent to a variety of projects.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Valerie, brothers John (Sandra) Fisher; Kenneth (Deborah) Fisher; In-laws Darlene Schrauben; and Bonnie (Wally) Czaika; children Angela Fisher, Cheryl (Ken) Stephenson, Mark (Alana) English, John (Felicia) English; grandchildren: Tyler Stephenson, Shelby (Evan) Hansel, Jonathan English, Katie English, Preston English, Danny English, Addison English, Jack English, Madeline English: great-granddaughter, Allie Stephenson. And, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Angela Fisher; a brother William (Moose) Fisher; Mother-In-Law Arlene Vashaw; Brother-In-Laws Wayne Schrauben, Patrick Vashaw, James Vashaw, John Vashaw; and niece Kristin Czaika.
Paul loved suduko puzzles; woodworking; and helping others where he was needed. He loved living his retirement years in the Luther area.
A "Celebration of Life" gathering will be held on Saturday, June 28th in Portland, Michigan, at the Wagon Wheel American Grill's private banquet room, from 11 AM to 4 PM.
The family is being served by Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home.
