With an indescribable heavy heart, this past Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 1:13 AM, our beloved father, husband and grandpa, passed on to a better place at 86 years old.
Paul Henry Kaessler, long-time resident of Colonia, passed away at his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Henry Kaessler and Grace Parents. He had lived in Bronxville, New York, and resided in Colonia for the past 33 years. Paul was employed as an Insurance Agent for New York Life in Manhattan, NY for 43 years.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Patricia Rosiecki-Kaessler of Colonia, and his son, Justin Rosiecki of Colonia.
He was always a fighter and almost never accepted "no" as an answer. He was a strong-willed, resilient man, that fought tirelessly with his body; mentally and physically for the last 5+ years. Having struggled with dementia, 5 hip replacements and countless trips to the hospital where they said he might not make it another 2 years, this man continuously overcame the odds.
to be present for his family and to watch his grandkids get older.
He was a family man, who would do absolutely everything and anything for his wife and son, endlessly trying to find ways to better our lives. He never missed a single game, never missed a tournament and always, always made sure I had that competitive fire to want to be better. Although age got the best of him and he may have missed an anniversary or a birthday once or twice, he always made sure to make sure that we both were loved and felt loved. He knew E V E R Y B O D Y and was the definition of approachable; making friends everywhere he went if he didn't somehow already know them. He was so happy, all of the time and so effortlessly full of life and love.
Our Paul, was truly one of the most amazing men on this planet and I cannot stress that enough. I could go on and on and on but if you knew him, then you know exactly what I'm talking about. We love you dad, we miss you and we are so grateful that you're not suffering anymore. Rest easy papa bear & thank you; for everything.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 5 to 9 pm at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave, Metuchen.
