PAUL EVAN KISTNER
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Evan Kistner on June 27, 2025, at the age of 67, of Rutland, VT. He passed away peacefully at home in the presence of family and caretaker Eleanor Steinburg, after a ten-year battle with cancer.
Paul was born December 27, 1957, in Utica, NY, the son of the late Richard T. Kistner and Sally Lou Evan Kistner Jones.
After a few jobs, he settled in Rutland, VT, and recently retired from Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Surviving are his daughters, Christina (Mathew) Parrill and Amanda (Jacob) Omand; grandchildren Lilie-Ann Kistner, Jayden Kistner, Liam Parrill, Bentley Goodrich, Elizabeth Goodrich, Isabella Omand, and Adelynn Omand. He is survived by brothers, Neal (Elizabeth) Kistner and James Kistner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Paul was predeceased by a sister, Susan Brown, in 2008.
Paul was truly a people person who could strike up a conversation with absolute strangers. The joy of his life was his family.
The last thing to know about Paul is that he recently accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, which gives us the hope of seeing him again. This change in his life made it possible for him to face death in peace, knowing of his personal destination of Heaven with Jesus as his Savior.

Paul,You were an inspiration to everyone and your visits were so much appreciated. You were so special in many ways. You had a heart of Gold and i miss you so much.I know you are at peace now and in Gods beautiful home. One day we will meet again and pick up on those long chats we use to have.RIP my dear friend and just know you are missed by many at the Parker House. You will always be in our hearts and remembering that big smile you always had.You left a void that no one can ever fill.We will keep you in our hearts always.Your babies are loved so much and went to there new home yesterday. My tears fell as i watched them go but i know you are always going to watch over them now and they will be ok.Your star will be the brightest one out there and i will look for you each night as you will shine so bright!!You are one of Gods special people and so blessed to have him in your life now.Fly high with your wings of Gold ,free from all pain!!!I will always keep your memory alive and you will never be forgotten!Thank you for being my friend .Always in my heart.God Bless until we meet again.Love Marty
