Bernard Legg Obituary

Bernard Dean Legg, Bernard Dean Legg 62, of Fraziers Bottom, WV passed away on August 20, 2025 at CAMC Teays Valley surrounded by family after fighting a long health battle.

Dean was born to Kenny and Linda Akers Legg on May 10, 1963. He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Legg.

He loved to hunt and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, as well as his numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his wife, Mona Stocks Legg; sons: Dean Legg and Albert (Latosha) Legg of Winfield, WV; stepchildren: Daniel Sovine and Elizabeth Sovine both of Winfield, WV; grandchildren: Cambrie, Aubrie, Liam, Ava, Levi and River; sister: Anita (Steve) Fowler of Apple Grove, WV; brothers: Darrell Legg of Fraziers Bottom, WV, Tim (Paula) Legg and Brian (Shanna) Legg both of Winfield, WV; a special cousin, Shane Akers of Fraziers Bottom, WV; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other loving family members.

Funeral Service for Dean will be 1:00pm Saturday August 23, 2025 at Chapman Funeral Home Winfield, WV 25213. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Fraziers Bottom, WV.

Friends may visit 11:00am until 1:00pm Saturday before the service.
