Paul Rex Ray May 5, 1948 – July 5, 2025
Columbus, MS – Paul Rex Ray, 77, passed away on July 5, 2025, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
He was born on May 5, 1948, in Pontotoc, Mississippi. A longtime resident of Columbus, Paul was a gifted musician and dedicated music teacher, sharing his love of guitar and piano with students for many years. His calm demeanor, patient teaching, and passion for music left a lasting impact on his community.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Edmondson Ray. He is survived by his son, Paul Andre Ray; daughters, Marian Sherene Ray and Nitra Paige Latta; and three grandsons: Troy, Ryan, and Nico. He is also remembered by a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbus, MS.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to ChildFund International at www.childfund.org or The Gideons International at www.sendtheword.org.
