St. Albans Bay – Paul Gerard Talley, beloved brother, father, and friend passed away peacefully at his home in St. Albans Bay, May 1, 2025 at the age of 69.
Paul was born on April 1, 1956 in Montgomery, AL, the son of Howard Talley and Frances Talley. Paul was a man who tried his hand at many things throughout his life. Paul was in the Navy, worked in construction with his brothers, owned and operated a restaurant in St. Albans, and was last employed with NCSS as a direct staff working with individuals with intellectual impairments, working with them on their day-to-day living skills in the community. He was an asset to all those he worked with there.
Paul was known for his kind heart, generosity, and sense of humor. He loved spending time at his home on the lake, fishing and hanging out on his enclosed deck which he converted into his "man cave". Paul enjoyed spending many hours out there with friends playing pool, watching his favorite show "Maine Cabin Builders", and decorating it with collectibles and treasures he found at garage sales. Paul also enjoyed hunting and gardening and his prized tomatoes were enjoyed by many.
Paul is survived by his daughter Misty Smith of Barre, grandson Stefan of SC, siblings Bruce (Julie) of Milton, Michael (Mary) of Georgia, Shirley of St. Albans, and Kerry of St. Albans Bay, his nephews Shawn, Alan and Adam, his niece Crystal, and great-nieces Hailie and Mallory. He also leaves behind his very furry friend Panda.
He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Frances Talley, brother-in-law John Davidson, and great niece Summer.
There will be no visiting hours. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 18th from 3-6 at Paul's home in St. Albans Bay. Paul will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
