A woman full of love and feisty wit; an absolute force to be reckoned with. Raising the McDulin clan through generations; our pillar of strength. A woman of many titles; wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, and greatest of all, friend. Paula Louise McDulin, 82, of Lebanon, Ohio, went home to the Lord on March 27, 2025.

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1943 to Louise and Paul Motzer, who taught her to have strength through hardships. Paula learned how to be independent early on, jump starting her career in wisdom, thus guiding her family through all the bumps and halts along the road of life.

She was a woman of many talents; wrangling kids, riding horses, hemming clothes, crafting jewelry, decorating for Christmas, making honey-do lists, cooking and so many more attributes. She was good with the needle and thread, so much so, crafting a wedding dress from scratch for a woman in need.

She worked at Red Lobster, The Houston Inn, and also The Golden Lamb serving tables. She loved her customers, friends and family more than anything.

Paula met the love of her life, Edwin, in a divine timing incident. Ed broke his arm at work, Paula being the one to volunteer to take him to the hospital and back to work. She began taking him to work everyday as he could not drive, thus creating a routine that they both would soon come to find love in. By the time his arm was healed, they were dating. Not long after, happily married and conquering life as a team.

Paula and Ed being ready for a family, introduced Tom, then Tim, and lastly Tina into the world. They would cherish these children, and raise them in a loving, laughter filled home. Even through the trials of life, their family stayed intact based upon their focal point; Paula.

Though she loved to craft, knit, cook and bake, Paula’s favorite role was as a mother as well as grandmother. She cherished her time with her grandbabies, never forgetting a birthday, nor missing a memory to be made. She wanted to be involved and show her love for others. She was blessed not only with 6 grandchildren; Adam (Chrysteena), Amy, Alex (Christen), Matthew, James and Brandon (Amanda), but also with a slew of great grandchildren; Tyler, Katelyn, Ethan, Tori, Nick, Isabella, Andrew, Hunter, Aiden, Sawyer, Josiah, Malachi, and Shyanne.

Paula will always be remembered by her quick-witted humor and sense of comfort she brought to all around her. We can still hear her dragging her slippers along the kitchen floor, which we will miss hearing every day. Paula’s memory will live on in all the hearts of those that had the pleasure of meeting such a woman as her.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents Louise and Paul Motzer, along with brother Fred Motzer. She is survived by her husband, Edwin: their three children Thomas (Libby), Timothy (Diva), and Tina. Along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. As well as her uncle John Artmayer, plus many nephews and nieces.

Funeral services to be held at St. Susanna's Church on Friday April 4, 2025 in Mason, Ohio. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM. Mass is to begin promptly at 11:00 AM. Laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery immediately following.

Celebration of life/wake to be held after graveside services at Chamberlin Park 7640 Plainfield Rd, Deer Park, OH 45236.
